I originally found this recipe on Balance with B‘s blog (she has tons of snack recipes like these!) These oatmeal raisin almond butter bites are great snacks to keep on hand. You can make a large batch and refrigerate or freeze for those pinch moments when you need a boost of energy.
I think these to have on hand for busy people, but especially ideal for postpartum moms because they’re full of healthy carbohydrates, fiber, and protein.
They’re so versatile too, so don’t be afraid to substitute with ingredients you have on hand.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of quick oats
1/2 cup of almond butter
1/4 cup of maple syrup
1/4 cup of chia seeds
1/4 cup of ground flaxseeds
1/4 cup of raisins
1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips
HOW TO:
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except raisins and chocolate chips until it all sticks together. If the dough is too dry, add in a little more maple syrup, almond butter or water. Add in the raisin and chocolate chips and mix together.
Roll into small bites and store in the refrigerator.
Enjoy!
